The cars cost $25,000 each to be restored.

18 layers of the original paint needed to be scraped off the original cars.

Seven of the 10 cars will be restored for use. The eighth car will be displayed in the museum at Lakemont Park.

The new cars will have seat belts in addition to the bar.

The new cars will have tongue grooved floors. The old cars had plywood for the floors.

All cars were originally different colors, but when restored they will all be the same color.

The front, the center, and the wings are all original on the new cars.

The original cars had lots of paint scroll work on them.

Each car weighs 680 pounds unloaded.

Each car has wheels on the side and bottom, so riders can experience side-to-side movement that modern coasters do not offers.


* The car shed is being restored using all of the original wood.	* The original chain, which is in good condition, will be used in the restoration. Also, the chain and cupula will be the last project to be completed.
